I think :life fits the real life flavor of the card more and the game flavor. I don't see it as not "protective" because you would use aflatoxin on yourself.

Upon reconsidering I have changed my mind.

Life's version of healing is about growth (Feral Bond, Regeneration). This White Cell harvests half the cancerous growth and turns it into regeneration.

I think this kind of creature is limited to protecting you from a single card. Despite the frequency in which it is used, is it really so important to block 1 specific card? What about it can consume any poisoned creature with attack less than 4?
