Why is a whip entropic? And why does it turn into another weapon?

Some comments:

Like furball said, what does a whip have to do with Entropy?

This would see very little use - it's only viable in Rainbow decks (if you're using it for the 3 damage, may as well use Discord), and costing 5  for a random weapon is rather expensive (as well as a turn delay).

Unless I'm missing something, the upgraded form is exactly the same as the unupgraded - Why?
