I do not approve.
*clears throat* No one needs your "approval" for anything since those are all ideas people are discussing. Saying you don't agree would suffice. ;)

As for Quantum Towers/Pillars, they're very random in small numbers. But get say 10 to 15 out there and all of a sudden you have a nice distribution of all colors. 10 to 15 of the two different proposed pillars would get you just 4 colors out of the possible 12 colors. Also, you're forgetting that with the Towers, you get an additional 3 just when you place it.

So that means Quantum ones are much more powerful towards the end of a match. They're less powerful in the beginning if you're hunting for 2 to 4 colors only.

I say, let's make it like this:

1. There are normal Pillars and split Pillars
2. Normal Pillars work like the Towers do now
3. Split Pillars splash one Element and generate the other then, all 66 combinations
4. They can be upgraded
5. Normal Towers generate 2 quanta of one element 50% of the time
6. Split Towers generate one quantum constantly and the second element 50% of the time
7. You can change the 50% to every second turn if you're inclined to do so
8. Everything costs 1-2 more to balance the larger amount of quanta out
9. Quantum Pillars/Towers still generate as they did, as they can more anyway

Correction on point 3: all 132 permutations.

Oh, right. Still, one-way, it is 66, and I even thought up names for every single one for some reason, although not serious ones.

Still, what do you think about the idea itself? Nitpicking is nice, but...

Who will paint all the combinations :)
I think 66 new pictures take some time even if you named them all.

I made low-quality symbols for one-way too. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1357.0)

just throwing out a few dual pillar ideas, where they are still allowed to produce two quantum per turn. drawbacks make cool things happen.

name:a/b pillar
each turn a and b are generated
if you played a/b this turn, your
pillars/towers do not produce
quantum this turn

name:a/b tower
each turn a and b are generated
if you played a/b this turn, other
pillars/towers do not produce
quantum this turn

name:i/o pillar
each turn i and o are generated
lose 1hp for each quantum i/o pillar
generates

name:i/o tower
each turn i and o are generated
gain i and o when you play this card
lose 1hp for each quantum i/o tower
generates

name:x/y pillar
each turn x and y are generated
your opponent gains 12 random
quantum when you play this card

name:x/y tower
each turn x and y are generated
gain x and y when you play this card
your opponent gains 12 random
quantum when you play this card

name:c/d pillar
each turn c and d are generated
gain 1 poison damage when you
play this card

name:c/d tower
each turn c and d are generated
gain c and d when you play this card
gain 1 poison damage when you
play this card

get the idea?

lol, this is similar to my super pillar idea (if the conclusion is both per turn) if not, im not realy for it, we could control the quantum we get just from adding 2 kinds of pillars.
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "its better than yours" damn right, its better than yours! i can teach you but i'd have to charge!

This is my idea for dual cards:

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,3297.0.html

A permanent (so max 6 in the deck) that has a quantum cost, so that will not replace normal pillars totally.

I'd like to toss the idea of 'splash pillars' back out there.  I personally think it's brilliant.

Steam Pillar:
Produce :Water each turn.
When Steam Pillar comes into play, transform one :water into :fire.

Steam Tower:
Produce :water each turn.
When Steam Tower comes into play, add one :fire to your quanta pool.

That would be tight as sin.  144 new pillars, though.  Lots of naming to do. :)
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.
