Yeah. That's the exact reason I want these, to promote tri-element deck types. This game would totally blow up with all the new possibilities!

How many of these would there be? The full 66 seems a bit... excessive.

Perhaps 12 free ones (each element having two "friend" elements) and one of each element costing one or two quanta (two "friend-ish" elements).
How to arrange those friends, I don't know. Preferably the free chain should be a single length-12 cycle.

Even if they are considered non-pillar, they'd have to stack like pillars if they're to be useful, as there's only 16 permanent slots (not including mark, weapon and shield).

Yes, that's another option, lol. I could imagine a Tri-Element deck running six of each of three different dual-towers. o-o Neat idea, actually...lol. Dark/Fire/Death would actually be good. o-o
Earth-Time-Gravity would be murder :)

I've tried variations on it, but 3 color decks are way to unreliable as things stand now.

I was thinking if this would ever be implemented, we'll need a list of names!

I threw a couple in but if anybody has suggestions, I'll update this table

I'm glad this thread got some attention. Yes, I actually do believe that having every possible combination of dual pillars would be good. This is already a lot of cards if you think of how many combinations there are, and we all know this game needs more cards. In addition to adding more bulk to the card base, this will unlock previously untapped potential in most, if not all cards in the current selection. How these are circulated into the game is entirely up to Zanzarino, but I think this idea is very promising.

I love this idea, nice chart, and maybe you could get these by combining two upgraded pillars. Or something like that. Plus if these somewhat simple cards are added, it raises the card total by quiet a bit and stops some people from saying 'more, more,' for a bit.

(from another thread)
Problem with these dual pillars is that they are too random. We should try to avoid luck element, not reinforce it. Instead of being random, dual pillars should produce one of each quantum but how would you balance them?
How about making them quanta-generating permanents (possibly 0-cost) giving one quanta and having an active ability to convert one quanta to another element?
Something like:
Cyanide
Each turn is generated.
: Convert
Generate .

That's actually a pretty good idea.

I actually think it depends. If it were generate one random quanta into the chosen element, it would be entirely unbalanced unless it could only be done once per turn. One quantum pillar would be able to generate three of the chosen element on top of the other element gotten at the end of each turn.

No, if you read the description- it only converts one specific type of quantum into the other.

I was thinking of it as generating one quanta of one of two elements, your choice. So: fixed cost, fixed result, only once per turn (otherwise one of those would transform regular pillars to duo-pillars as well).
Basically the same as the original idea, just doing away with the randomness.

Great idea! I want it ^^ But then not just vulcano, it should be for every (or at least almost every) element combination, i think. I hope they'll put this ingame  ;)
