Spark is generated instead if your Mark is Death or Aether.

Correct. If your mark is Death or Aether, Wand deals no damage but generates a Spark every turn. If your mark is anything else, Wand deals 3 damage.

If every weapon does have a specific element to boost it, and this is aethers aren't they getting a pretty bad deal here?

I actually wish this was for everybody and didn't just apply to one element this would make the best  :death deck ever
