This is meant to pair with eclipse, to balance it out it will effect your opponents creatures too. Like Flooding it will be destroyed if you can not pay the upkeep cost.[/

It sounds good, but I think that the upgraded should still have 4 :darkness cost, but only absorb 2  :darkness per turn.

And I assume all abilities and stats still remain the same?

Yes, abilities and stats still stay the same. I was thinking that abilities would cost :darkness but that would be OP IMO.

Forgot about ball lighting...why must fractal make it soo hard to design new cards...?
I could prevent this by making all new darknss creatures suffer sickness or go through acceptance (stuck in a bubble for one turn) but that might make it UP.

i say make card free and make upkeep 4 or 5 might become UP but it's better then an unbeatable FG

Upkeep as 4 might be OK but I'm reluctant to nerf it atm.
I might make it so that the card views creatures with no quanta cost as "other" and ignores the "other" element. That would prevent fractal + rol/ball lighting/malignant cell + eclipse abuse.

How could it be abused after I change it so it only affects non-other cards?
Cards that cost no quanta will be seen as other.

The evil fg effect is easily negated with fire shield = 1hit k.o.
