My idea is not so much a card, but a new type of quanta, Void. I first started thinking about this a week ago and have been coming up with ideas for it since then. I do know that getting a single card materialized and actually put into the game Elements is extremely unlikely, and that inventing a new type a quanta for the game is unlikely10, but I try not to think that way. ;) If Void quanta is not added to the game, any ideas for the cards and abilities could be supplemented into Darkness :darkness , Gravity :gravity , or Entropy :entropy type cards because Void is very similar to them. And for anyone that does not know what the word void means, it is the absence of... everything.

Here is what the quanta could look like. I do realize that the symbol does lead off the edges breaking the rules of being a symbol, so I do have other versions of it without the gravity type marks that lead off of the symbol.




These are the card ideas that I have come up with. I may have borrowed some card ideas/abilities. All of the values are set at what I find to be best and are subject to change(possibly drastically). Yes.. There are too many action cards.

No new elements. Sorry. Besides, I classify Void to be a subclass of Darkness, which is, per say, a definition of 'lack.' Darkness lacks light, but absolute Darkness, Void, lacks any substance, and is, in simplest terms, nonexistence. Trying to get a new quanta type won't work. Just make a Void card, toss it into Darkness, and be done with it.

This isn't the first time that Void has been suggested as an element. However, I don't think Zanz will ever implement a 13th element soon...

Yeah, I just thought I'd publish my dreams on the forums is all. It is a lot of fun coming up with stuff though. I had no idea that someone else had already thought of Void element. >< It makes me feel really stupid. But that's okay. And I like your Void Quanta symbol a lot.  ;)

First Blood, now void?  Looks cool to me.

Just because the series can't create a new element doesn't mean you can't implement it as a series of Other cards, similar to patchx'sBloodwork (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19586.0.html) series. The mark symbol could revealed in the Pendulum, and have an effect like forcing your opponent to lose 1 quanta instead of generating quanta like a normal pendulum.

I bet you could actually make this into a good  :rainbow Other :rainbow series, try something and see how it goes!  :D

A card that is void of all elemental influence belongs in Other.
Cards that have elemental influences such as devour deserve to be treated as such.

Its a fun experiment, but adding a new element has to be similar to adding a new color to MtG I imagine; it won't happen until the game starts to die out (if ever).

If Elements is to ever add new elements, it should be as soon as possible. The sooner the better, because it is hard for people to get over change, and it would be best to just get it over with.

While I'm not a fan of the idea of new elements being introduced I am a fan of creativity.

New elements have been suggested here and if anything it would certainly shake the community if there would be a week where there would be a chance to win rare cards of a new element, possibly Void, from FGs.

Obviously these cards would need to be balanced and perhaps not cost new quanta but perhaps cost :rainbow quanta as well as requiring health to be payed.

It would definitely mean a peak in activity in terms of the game as everyone would be longing for these cards, but as they would cost :rainbow quanta and a bit of health, FGs could use them easily.

Just throwing the idea out there.

Create a card that goes off science.

Void | Greater Void
Absorbs 4 quanta per turn. Gain 1 counter for each quanta absorbed.
Sacrifice Void (Greater Void) to create a Universe (Greater Universe) with a special ability determined by how many counters Void (Greater Void) had.

As I see it, this is the closest to Aether if anything. Aether is the domain of immobile things, and leads to many dimensions that contain absolutely nothing, if they even exist, and as the basic foundation of the universe is the only element capable of completely eradicating everything.

It's always fun to see new element ideas either way. This is one of the more interesting. Unfortunate that many of the cards are carbon copies.
