this should use 'wound counter' or 'bleeding tokens' and be restored by Healing Balm.
Oi midnight, I know you have good intentions and all with this idea, but wouldn't it be smarter for you to make Healing Balm first, and then perhaps make a series based around the wound counters? It helps to better display what you're talking about, and might develop some seperate card ideas where this mechanic may fit better rather than disrupting already well-balanced card ideas.
It's fairly obvious he's relating to another game altogether, and the "wound counters", he is oblivious to Infection damage. He's simply got terminology problems. I'd still prescribe n00b-b-gone in 7 doses every day, midnight. Try to learn the game's actual mechanics before critiquing someone else's handiwork.

@ZBlader  Wound counters would need to be added before something that removed wound counters could be added. (Poison must predate Purify)
@Nepycros Please reread before jumping to conclusions so fast. Sometimes a very similar mechanic already in game will cause pros to make hasty assumptions.

He further suggested that a card be introduced that removed the decrease in max HP (aka the wound counters). This would not be a good idea because poison leaves a lasting effect and can pick up where it left off. Effects that reducing the max hp have to repeat past work if removed. Thus a card that removed all reduction to max hp would not be appropriate. Cards that removed a small number (like 20 via Shard of Divinity) would be appropriate.

Who you callin' a n00b? jk. Yeah, I screwed up. But decreasing max hp of creatures will be a problem... Voodoo Doll, for instance. How will that go down? Will this cause people to accept the Void series a little more?

Poison and Infection both exist. Wound mimics Poison so far, not Infection. An infection parallel to Wound would not be easily distinguished from regular damage due to the lack of creature healing. So wound if added would be best as player only as BloodShadow has been doing.

This card decreases max HP. Shard of Divinity increases max HP. No "wound counters" are necessary.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

ok so you are strictly making the void series direct max hp manipulation, you really dont want to use a wound system parallel to poison?

that is ok, but if it is i need to do the balm/salve of that premise, as it is there is no way to stop void from winning if its alive long enough, you will run out of max hp unless something gives it to you regularly. there is no reason you cant have direct max hp loss and wound/bleeding counters at the same time and a poison-purity system too, elements has always been about diverse strategies.

Again Lord Midnight, if you believe it's a good idea please make your own thread. Void is focused on unorthodox methods of damage and denial. Additionaly, you can outrush Void since it gives Quantum to you  - especially against a mono where the opponent can completley empty their hand with a card like this one.

Void's actually an interesting indirect buff to monos, and currently monos are a bit overshadowed in the PvP environment with pends providing so much support for duos.

My bad, I just came back on and didn't see it. I still don't think Void should use "wound counters" - it implies blood or something similar. Void doesn't win by that form of damage.
