NOTES:
The halving rounds before anyone asks. That way, the lowest it can go to is 1|1 (Unless it's already at 0).

If you would like some examples, a 4|6 Hermatite Golem would become 2|3. A 5|3 Mummy would 3|2. A 0|1 Vanadium Warden wouldn't change.

CC for light, but not kinda direct CC. It's light cos the refracting of light rays and stuff like that, I dunno. Anyway, I was considering adding "Can only target each creature once" but deemed it unnecessary. I'm also looking for a better name ATM, let me know if you have anything. (This is the second card idea I've posted with "refraction" in its name :S)

I apologize if this has been done before, but I'm too lazy to go check :D

All questions and constructive criticisms welcome.

........................ this is just half a purple nymph isn't it. Cost is halved, ability cost is halved, effectiveness is... quartered. Oh no.

Hopefully the health reduction makes up for it.

The HP drop is the real kicker. With a couple of these and an owls eye you could cut down almost anything in a couple turns.
It also makes a very good counter to GP. Armagios go from 25 hp -> 12 hp -> 6 hp with just 2 of these.

One question, if you hit a voodoo doll with this, will it inflict corresponding damage upon the opponent? ... That could be extremely potent.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`
You might be a unix junky

Did you or did you not see Syndrome which just halved HP?

That would be a fun deck. I don't think it would be too overpowered though... It would deal the reduction twice though.

I guess it is an 8-card OTK right?

Voodoo doll + 3 BB + ability + 3*TU =   80 + 3 * 40 = 200 damage.

I guess that suggests it is close to balanced, but I think it would be the cheapest OTK quanta-wise.

I think it would be much more reliable than voodoo bravery since you don't have to mess around with gravity force.
8 card OTK is sufficiently difficult to pull off that it should be balanced if you cant reasonably play any pieces before hand.
I actually think this is really a "7 card OTK" since Voodoo dolls are fairly safe to play, so there is no need to hang on to one in hand until ready.
still 7 card combos are not that easy to set up so I dont think it will be a problem.
...
I know its a big change but what do you think about making it deal the damage to a random target?
That would be an implicit counter to SoFo abuse since SoFo could end up being that target, killing it instantly (first half hp lost by ability, then damage removes last half of HP).

Of course, then you have a potential auto-killer ... but you risk killing your own creatures at the same time... or hurting yourself really bad.

As a last note, the targeting would be random... but that doesn't mean it cant be a biased random... i.e. higher priority to enemies or high HP allies.

you could word it as:
" :entropy :entropy : Target creature loses 50% HPs. Deal 1 damage per lost HP to a random victim."

Yes, I remember syndrome. Syndrome was a weapon. So it was limited to 1 per player unless you add in flying weapons, of course that was internally balanced by the fact that it could end up killing itself.
This same internal balance was also an attempt to mitigate SoFo abuse.
I have a feeling that this card will thus be even more prone situational balancing issues.
