Does it base the "creatures you can pay for" off of your quanta amounts before or after the quanta cost is considered?
The creatures are selected after the card cost is deducted but before the remaining and quanta is consumed.
...probably should have given an example *forehead palm slap*
So if you had 11
then cast the unupgraded version it would look for all creatures that cost 2
or less.
Does the upped card generate upped creatures?
If so, ball lightning + fractal is now obsolete
I'm a little torn for that exact reason, but since upped SoSe does this will too...
B.L. + fractal is much safer than this card... you could end up giving your opponent as many creatures as yourself if you aren't careful with this card.
Basically, you would either need to time this carefully or use it in some kind of a denial deck. Otherwise you will give your opponent a slew of new monsties to try and eat your face with.
Reminds of an old nature documentary where a man had become one with the animals. They ate him after wards and resumed their plan to eat everyone else.
This is very special. However, it fits more with Aether and Darkness if you think about it. Fractal and Nightmare. Also, what does entropy have to do with this card?
I was debating putting it into dark + aether, but its a little more double edged than nightmare. It always gives your opponent creatures they can actually play.
This card is also more random than fractal. Fractal clones a single type of creature whereas this gives you a random assortment depending on the distribution of quanta in your pool.
It actually shows off a contrast between
and
:
-> uniformity,
-> diversity
I do think that this card could synergize very well with nightmare since you could use nightmare to first fill your opponent's hand with junk so that you can play this card safely.
