NOTES:
eg. if you have 7 pillars, 3 towers and 2 other permanents it will have 4 attack and 10 defense. It is updated at the end of turn just like swarm, and is also a passive ability.

In my anti False God deck I often end with 6 SoGs, 6 Hourglasses, an Empathic Bond, a shield and a weapon. This means that in end game you can get a 18/15 creature for 8 :time for example. Still, in early game in a typical (heavily permanent reliant) time deck you get a 4/6 or so creature, even weaker, so yes, it's not good for early game, though it's usually higher in toughness then so has a good chance of surviving until late game.

If it indeed proves underpowered, I guess a simple cost adjustment should fix this.

that or maybe have it x+2 or something? then you could do something other than lower cost for the upgraded

Using that deck, if you do survive to get to late game, you'll probably win anyways. ;) Not OP at all, maybe even UP.

Other than being expensive to play, looks like a neat card.

I definitely LOVE the mechanic.  :D A creature that relies on pillars to gain an appropriate amount of HP - of course, it makes it vulnerable to Earthquake as well...

I'm guessing that if you somehow manage to play this card without pillars, it automatically dies like a spark (except it also does no damage as well >_>). Hm. If more permanents are introduced into the game (not just shields and weapons, but unique things for elements), I can imagine that this card can be deadly against people who have little-to-no permanent control (which is rare these days in my opinion).

If you play this without pillars, or you lose pillars with a Statue in play, it dies like a spark, but just like spark it will deal damage once (if you have any permanents that is).

And buffing it with anything increasing hp secures it. So if you must, use Veteran's Amulet to rescue your Statue.

Still, hopefully EQ decks don't usually come with damaging spells, only BB and rewinds.
