ART: MasterpiecePumpkins.com, modified by Kaos. with Photoshop. IDEA: Kaos. NOTES: - "Vargr" is a word with the same meaning of "wolf" in northern cultures and languages (wikipedia says so XD). - "Fenrir" is the wolf god that will devour Odin during the Ragnarok. - I thought that a random devouring (that kills your creatures too) should increase card's cost by 1, not 2 as for otyughs&co. - Vargr/Fenrir's ability can be lobotomized. - Why "entropy"? Because it's a creature made of caos. xD - If Vargr/Fenrir cannot devour anything.. well.. maybe he'll feel sad. ò.o Changes: Changed element, from entropy to fire. SERIES: Nope.

I like the card idea a lot. works great with death.
not sure if balanced. I thought devour cost was based on the health of the devouring creature.

"Devour" is based on HP, but Fenrir's aim is to kill (/eat ) every source of power, so I think this version ("Fury") could be better.^^

Devour with 5hp is worth +6
Devour with 4hp is worth +5

Devour for free with 3hp is worth +5
Devour for free with 4hp is worth +6

Assuming your idea of a -1 discount for the random devouring:
Random Devour for free with 3hp is worth +4
Random Devour for free with 4hp is worth +5

Final Cost: 6 |6
Fire's destructive nature is probably a better fit for Fenrir.

Oldtrees has already done the balancing, but if you want a good source of art try looking here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21392.0.html). You can modify the art as long as you use a free image or permission to use it.

I also found a nice image if you change it to fire. just use paint and color over the thing on bottom right. (It seems not to have any Copyright)

There may be no copyright but I suggest emailing the artist first for permission (note that his carvings/pictures were requested by other people and some have even asked to put theirs in magazines.)

I really like entropy for Vargr/Fenrir, but if you all confirm to me that fire is better I could change my idea.^^

Also remember that  has Chaos Power, so buffing the Fenrir would become too easy, thus OP (this is something I thing is not taken in account).
And just in case, does this devour like the Otyugh (only lower hp creatures) or actually ANY creature with high atk? (that would be OP)

I soooo like the idea of the Fenrir, it's my favourite Nordic creature  I wanted to make a card with it, but no idea came out...

BTW, Kaos is my Alter-Username in most other games, now I like this card even more

He devours the creature with the highest atk he can eat. This means that he devours like an otyugh, but you cannot control him.^^

that means that if you have a 3|6 Fenrir ou could devour a Crimson Dragon, but not a Massive Dragon, even it being the highest ATK in the opponent's field?
