So, bone wall with more spammability?
I mean if I flood myself with malignant cells, that is 30 damage sources absorbed. Plus judging from the wording, I can stack this right? So if I play 5 while I have 20 creatures out in play, I can have 100+ sources absorbed?

If you flood your field with Malignant Cells, sure, why not. You can do the same with Bone Wall. And get more stacks if you Dry Spell.

Also, this is the same wording found on Bone Wall. With that in mind, no, it does not stack.

Psh, we're a community based on improvement. Also, these shields cover different effects. Yours covers healing possibilities in Life, this one covers the capability Life has to spam creatures.

I'll admit though that this is the superior shield. Healing is kinda a shield in itself.
If anything, it's a bit too weak though... I predict you're going to get about 9-12 shields? There's no way of gaining more stacks if I'm reading it right.

...Maybe reduce the cost to 5? ... Although I guess 6'll do then.

That both players have, yes. And that's only when it's played. It can not gain counters after it's been played.

I do not see an OP combo;
everything I can come up with, is done better using bonewall.
The limited field size really helps this.
also, yay for helping the community


I'm actually thinking it may be a bit UP.
The high cost means that it wont come very early,
thus you probably have played most creatures already-
unless you have expensive creatures, which means you won't have many.
of course, it's in-element with mitosis, which helps greatly.


EDIT:
now that it is clear to me it only generates stacks once, the problems of it being UP are no longer valid.


how about rewording this to
'Summon 3+N living shields that absorb damage from a single source. N is equal to the number of creatures in play.'?
that way it sticks a bit closer to the wording on hope.
be quick- time is quanta.

I like this card as a good thematic quasi-life-bonewall. I think the cost is well balanced. Nice idea!

The difference between getting a bunch of stacks on Bonewall and getting a bunch of stacks on this card is that you need a kill-card for Bonewall. For example, in SG's Rainbow you would use an expensive Rain of Fire (with some Otyughs and Fallen Elves for support) and hope the enemy has enough enemy creatures with less than 4 health. In other decks, you may generate a bunch of Malignant Cells on your side of the field, or perhaps the enemy side, and use something like Dessication. This card, on the other hand, doesn't require that extra card, and isn't depending on killing your enemy creatures or your own creatures. In other words, at least in decks made for generating a high number of stacks, this card is more reliable and less self-crippling.

Just some thoughts. Compare it to Dimensional Shield when it replaces the Adrenalines in Mono-Life.
