A simple combination of Pillar and an effect. Favours Monotypes that do not have access to outside healing. This card is not a more powerful replacement for pillars or a key pillar, but an option that the player can use to tradeoff speed deployment with a little extra healing.

SERIES: [/color][/b]
QUANTUM MECHANICS

Series Objective - A range of cards to bridge the quanta production gap between Mono type and Rainbow type decks. The Cards will work in a generic sense to balance the whole field. They will add access to function for monotype decks and reliabilty to Rainbow type decks, albiet at a reduction to that deck types strongest function reliable quanta and card speciality respectively. The biggest gain will be to two to four element deck types. Each card should have a unique mechanic if possible to show the variety of possible applications and directions quanta management can go in. All cards are usable independantly and are balanced in the current environment with only itself.

I was initially worried about this pillar idea (seeing that it can heal for a small amount each time per pillar, almost stacking up to a better effect than SoG), but then I realized it was a permanent pillar that stacked, rather than a set of pillars/towers that have no limit to their usage.

Do you think this should be a rare card though? The individual 'mark' component is nice, but would the healing push it to make it more uncommon between decks?

It strikes me as wrong to have something called a pillar that costs quanta to play, however I like the idea and it's nice and easy to understand. Have you considered making it simpler:

Cost: Free
Normal: Each turn a quantum of the same element as your mark is generated.
Upgraded: Additionally gain 2 extra quanta with the same element as your mark when this card is played.

Why would you want such a tower?

 - It's a good investment for newbies. The problem currently is upgrading towers for each element is expensive which (I reckon) is one reason why rainbows are so popular. This tower would allow players to experiment with different decks more easily.

 - It could be a way of balancing rainbow vs mono. If you made it generate two quanta when played mono decks would suddently become more attractive.

This pillar is a special type that heals. There are other cards in the Quantum Mechanics series that works for newguys.

I don't want to directly improve mono. I want to improve the midrange.

Actually, I feel this is rather underpowered.  At max, I think you get what, 6hp total a turn?  Thats hardly game-changing, though I do realize the effect is secondary.  What happens if you change it to 2hp a turn?  Perhaps raise the playing cost by 1 to compensate?

Very underpowered. It should heal more, or give 1.5 quanta at least. Otherwise, I don't think I'd ever use this when I could just take SoGs. a limit of +6hp per turn is pretty small and almost not worth it. At least alone. And it's not worth it enough to be paired with other healing cards as it is now.

Plausible. I could drop the cost of the basic to 1 and give the upgrade a heal of 2.

A SoG takes up another card slot where this works on top of the pillars you are already using. Its not ment to be more powerful than normal pillars it is ment to be an equivalent level option.

What? Why would this stack on top of something other than itself? That just simply won't happen because this card is not the same as a pillar. It wouldn't stack with regular pillars. How would Quicksand work with it then? Or targeting it by Pulvy? That idea just killed this card for me.

If your deck was 12 Fire Pillars it could now be 6 Fire Pillars and 6 Renewal Pillars.
The 6 Renewal pillars will form a cluster and the 6 Fire pillars will form a cluster.
If you add a SoG to your deck often you ruin the deck size or have to take something else out. This card gives you some minor healing at a little cost to put the pillar into play.
This card is a pillar so could be quicksanded or Tsunamied by Trident.

I don't know where you where going or what you thought I ment.

I guess its a Jargon confusion. To me it means: you do not need to make a place for this card in the deck, it works within the space you have already made in your deck for pillars.
