Much better. It's now not so situational, and can actually do something. Now if this was only combined with some permanents that actually do bad things...

I'm not really too worried about the drain being OP at all. Given that you are required to trade in one of your permanent's for it, I think its a pretty fair double edge balance.

I am concerned about this being abused as means to knock out the opponent's shield. Particularly if they have an immaterial shield in place.

At the very least, if an immaterial shield gets replaced, it should be sent back to the opponent's hand or deck instead of destroyed.

Even with immaterial shields protected, however, this could easily start overshadowing momentum and deflag as a shield counter.

In light of that, I think either the card cost or the ability cost (or both) should be raised in order to keep it balanced.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`

if you want to use this card to destroy a shield, you have to give yours, i can't see any abuse in that( exept if you can give 1 level of your bone wall, this would be nasty)
immaterial shields and weapons should be protected against that, but even if they are not i don't think the card would be OP

there is only a few permanents you can give without  hesitation such as :eclipse
and maybe: sundials, flooding(if you want to get rid of it or draining your opponent quanta)
and i imagine a combo where you give your shard of patience using gravity shield...
so the use of this card will be  mainly to drain life by giving pillars

Use Carrier Ability on Black Hole

if you meant "singularity", it is not possible , singularity is not a permanent but a creature

Well, just 1 example would be to play the unupped "Shield" card then use this to replace the opponent's Dimensional Shield, or BoneWall, or Gravity Shield... etc.

Effectively, you can force the opponent to give up a shield which is at the core of their strategy and replace it with whatever crappy one you want from your own.

True, this requires giving up your own shield, but then you can always build your deck around that strategy.

Another very cruel trick would be to force them to take an upped Dispersion Shield... That could prove to be one of the most vicious forms of QC available yet!

Sure, they get to absorb a massive attack from you, but you just drained every last ounce of quanta they might use to counter whatever other nastiness you had in store for them.

Granted that would require a trio, but with a cost of 1 :darkness and 1 :light it makes a perfect combo to splash into a 'bow
