New 'other' card

Names need changing, and I need some art done up, but I thought up some new 'other' cards

Ruin Elemental

He's a 10 quanta creature with attack and health of N|N
In this case N is equal to the number of pillars on the field
upped: he costs 8



Ruin Chanter
He's a 6 quanta creature with attack and health of 2|2
Effect:    Moves a pillar from your deck to the top of your deck
upped: he's a 8 quanta creature. 2|3, and can use any 5 quanta for his ability


Was thinking of making them earth types, but I figured we need an 'other' also adds to the awesome elemental series.

Ruin Elemental: Imma put 6 of those in my Disappointment Field thing. 48 pillars, 6 Fields, 6 Ruins... well, maybe a PA or two instead of a few pillars.

Still, for a price similar to 4  or 4 anything other, I get creatures that can get up to 30/30 easily. Borked?

The second one... guess it's some deckout preventor, mainly for rainbows.

Does this Count Both Players Pillars or just Yours?
Is N recalculated like the Scarab does?

Did a test in my Rainbow deck and I could play the Ruin Elemental very Early and they got bigger as the fight went on. They outperformed all the dragons except Massive and Phase which just had better survivability. The only performance failing I could see is against Pillar denial or if you are running Pillar lite which is very rare. You could fix their stats when played and this should eliminate the retrenching of dragons and still leave them strong for late game.

Ruin Chanter seemed redundant. The only use I could see is if his ability could strike opponents pillars, but in that case he becomes an extremely powerful deny game tool. Have any background as to why the Ruin chanter has this ability?

Ahhh, now thats a different story.

Does it grab the first pillar/tower it finds?
How does it select?
What if you Have no Pillars/Towers left to get?

Chriskang has said card searching is a difficult procedure because of the way they deal with decks. It might be implausible because of this to have it mechanically work.

Ignoring actual code mechanics I actually found the card redundant. I either didn't have the Quanta to activate the ability or I didn't need any more towers at that point in the game. Could work well with Dissipation Shield or if the Pillar was drawn giving a card advantage into the future.
