I'd use the un-upped against any FG some Elite Fireflies get this guy out and when the opponent uses RoF or pretty much any other creature control on him I deal massive damage from built up fire quanta, possibly 100+.

End review dealing N damage as you have it is extremely OP, the damage done on death needs to be vastly changed. Thalas had a similar idea check it out.

Not a bad idea RoF needs a deterrent, but this deals too much damage.

I like Thalas' 10 damage, but if you want to be original you could use your idea but make it  /5 or even  /10

What does attempting to kill/destroy mean?
If the creature is killed does the ability trigger or not?
This looks like a powerful card

Very powerful card. I like te idea but would proably make it :inflict damage x N, sacrifice this creature. Thus it is a one off use, or make the Hp so low it will die anyway but that may not work as if you only relied on Hp then someone would just plate armour it.

By remove, do you include Devour and Mutate? These both inflict no damage persue but are targerted to remove a creature.

I think dividing by 10 gives you the right amout.
