I don't have time today, but tomorrow I'll post the card images, the charts and everything.

Thought Stealer: 2/3 (4 :darkness)
Rogue (:darkness :darkness): Target creature loses its ability. Thought Stealer's ability is replaced by the target creature's ability, but costing Darkness.
UPGRADE
Soul Stealer: 3/5 (5 :darkness)
Rogue (:darkness): Target creature loses its ability. Soul Stealer's ability is replaced by the target creature's ability, but costing Darkness.

For example, if you target an Otyugh, then the Otyugh is lobotomized and Thought Stealer's ability becomes Devour for :darkness.

And if Thought Stealer targets itself, its ability is replaced by Rogue; in other words, nothing happened and you just wasted your quanta.

I think having it mimic would be better.

Stealing the ability from a creature ventures into Aether's turf.  You are essentially lobotomizing the target creature by removing its ability.  That is one of Aether's trademark skills.

And in order for this to fit Darkness's theme, this card must "steal" something: take away something from opponent, gain something for itself. Simply mimicking does not fit.

This is a little bit harder to explain...  My best response is:  "Why are you giving Destruction (Fire/Darkness) a lobotomize?"
What I mean by that is...  Darkness is akin to fire, they destroys things.  They share alike goals.  Removing a creatures ability is not really 'destruction' quality--killing it is.

(Besides... Darkness already has a makeshift lobo... Liquidshadow)

Stealing is not required in order to fit the theme.  Darkness is known for shadows.  Shadows are known for mimic-ing.  (cough 'shadow boxing' cough)

Look at Vampire, Steal, Devourer. They all steal something. I want to be consistent with this theme.

The card is interesting... and it seems to be darkness,

but darkness allready have so many good cards,
it would be nice if was of another element, how I don't know,
Steal is very powerful, (hate the nerf) I don't think darkness needs this

So the card is good/ok, but I don't like it beeing darkness (in a way) :S

I'm the Master of Darkness, so naturally I want it to be as powerful as possible.

If the card itself is balanced, then I have nothing else to worry about. Not including a card simply because the element is too strong is a stupid reason, IMO.

I like the idea of this card but could be a little OP.  Perhaps to balance leave the ability cost the same as the original , or just copy the ability and leave the original alone.  Like a doppelganger.
