For some reason I can't get the Clean Elements template to load correctly.

I downloaded the magic card editor, fonts, and both templates.
The first template works fine.
This is what happens when I try to use the second one:

The problem is that when I download the clean template file, I can't choose to install "Standard".

I've tried reinstalling everything, but it still does not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I uninstalled both templates here and downloaded the installer files and... Everything went fine. Really, both templates were working perfectly.

However, when I tried to install the clean template before installing the main template, I had exactly the same problem you had (I already knew that it would happen, anyway). If you have this problem even if you install the clean template after the main template, which seems to be the case, then I have no idea of what may be causing this.

Updated the template file with the new card backgrounds. Everything else is exactly the same.

For some reason the upgraded Darkness template still uses the old background on my version. Is this a bug or just an oversight?

EDIT : This seems to be a problem for all "new" templates on the editor (1.29 Life, Darkness, Death. and Entropy) - their upgraded borders are still 1.28 styled.

I see no problem here. Are you still using the "style" button to change the cards to the upgraded version?

This method is from early versions of the template. Now the Upgraded style of the template is no longer in use (so you can uninstall it), and you can change a card to the upgraded style by clicking in its bottom-right corner.

P.S.: By the way, your post made me notice a different problem: the earth and gravity borders should be black instead of white. I'm going to change it right now.

---EDIT---

Done. Instead of downloading the template file, you can manually replace the images in your MSE "data" folder with the ones attached to this post.

I have one suggestion: could transparency in the corners be added when exporting to PNG? Cards with white borders look really horrible at the moment.

Example of horrible corners (granted, you changed the Gravity border, but I think it still applies to some others):

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Unfortunately, MSE doesn't export png's with transparent background, and there's nothing I can do about that.

However, it is possible to make the background color change according to the card element (or I could just replace the images of the template with nontransparent ones). But I'm not sure if I'm going to do this. If someone wants to do it for me...

Sorry, but I don't have this template anymore, I wasn't expecting it'd be deleted. Also sorry for taking that long to reply; I am not visiting this forum very often 'cause I'm not playing Elements right now =/

OK, I changed my mind.
Instead of being a separate template, the Clean style now comes as a part of the main template.

Also I didn't know how to do this before, but I learned that by reading the MSE documentation.
