Silence. The gloomy forest I awakened to greeted me with that. I started to hear the birds chirping, the growls of a tiger, and a running waterfall.
"Who was I?" The question lingered in my mind as I stood up and looked around me - there was no trace how I could have arrived here and why I could've been here.
I began walking, but I didn't know where. I seemed to be going nowhere, but my instincts seemed to tell me that this would be the way out of the forest that shrouded many things from my vision.
The foliage slowly became less dense, and soon I was able to see the clear, blue sky and the deep, orange sun through the green leaves. It was a bright afternoon, but I still saw nothing more than the less hostile forest animals - most would scutter away as they saw me, while others watched, as if wondering where I was going.
Finally, I came to a clearing - the expanse of the plain outward from there seemed to go on endlessly, but a small point jutted upwards in the distance. I headed towards it to find a stone grey pyramid, with large steps that led to a somewhat circular center. I noticed the ornate design around this top step - there were twelve colored carvings on the edges of the circle, each a different symbol from it's neighbor. They were all connected by 12 large lines that traced to the center point.
I suddenly stepped on this center point and raised my hand. What was I doing? I couldn't even seem to control my body any longer - the instinct I had before was turning into a presence.... no, a power.
"Gia." I whispered, and the sky darkened and the rumbles of thunder were heard, with the crashes of lightning. I concentrated, and suddenly, I saw three strange structures arise around the pyramid - a large, dark pillar, another pyramid that had a suspended crystal over it, and a tower of fire, focusing it's multicolored flame into a cone-like pouch.
"Yes... Gia. That is my name. And this - is the power of the ancients. Quantum."
Welcome to the Quantum Forge. This takes my old
Forge System suggestion, and combines it with some of the pillar suggestions here to create this mini-series.
Basically, the Quantum Forge works like this - after you complete the quests, there would be a "Forge" option accessible on the Menu, which will take you to a screen similar to the upgrade screen.
You can select up to three pillars/relics to forge, which would result in an entirely new card being made. Forging costs 10
+ 10
for each pillar used to forge the card.
Forging Pillars will get you the unupgraded form - using towers increases the chance you get the upgraded version by 33% if you're using 3 cards or 50% if you're using 2 cards. Using all towers guarantees you the upgraded version. However, if a forging involving Towers and Pillars fails, you will only get the towers back, along with a Relic.
The first card you use to forge is always the most important one - it will determine the resulting card's main element or type. If your first card was a Quantum Pillar, it randomizes the element.
All Pillars made from the forge are Unique - you can only have up to 6 copies of them in your deck.

Relic (if forging
fails)
This will only occur if an attempt to forge with pillars and towers fails the percent chance given for the upgraded form by the towers. While it does devalue relics, it also helps players to get them for Forging Core and Crown Pillars.

FAQs:
So why have you made this idea?I made it because I felt it would be a good suggestion for the game, as well as to give Relics a new use. More quantum generators will always provide new strategies, but the 6 pillar limit stays in place to make sure normal pillars are overshadowed.
What if it is too difficult to code? The only difficultly would probably be with Diverse Pillars, which I have proposed a possible workaround on the actual thread itself. However, Core and Crown Pillars can be treated as separate ideas if needed.
Do you think this idea would actually get in the game?Maybe, maybe not. I made it mostly for fun and because I had some time on my hands. If Zanz is willing to develop this idea, that would be great, of course.
So, what about forging all sorts of other cards? Like, Animate Weapon + Dagger = Throwing Knife? That would be so cool!My original Forge suggestion makes use of forging two "material" cards into a card already in the game, where I did add a Tier 3 system where two cards could be forged to create a new, different card. If I was to revive the idea again (if i actually did), I would've probably created a separate thread - but planning possible merges for everything seems a bit... much.
I may add some unique pillar combinations that give you special cards outside the normal pillar system, but otherwise I plan to stick to quantum generators for this.
