I would use such a card just for the    the rest would be a bonus.

Aether is all about immateriality, and time is all about drawing cards and evolution.  Maybe get the sparks for every card in your hand?  And make it an instant?

not a bad idea, but like I said, then they'd all have to be instants, which isn't exactly a problem

This game has enough permanents as it is.  It's really lacking instants, probably because of the lack of counterspells.

Very true, I used my idea for life and death as a starting point, so I suppose that's why I made them all permanents, instants would work just as well with similar abilities.

To be honest, I thought Life Death would be best as a creature.  Call it a risen elf:
  Risen Elf
  Tend:  Target creature becomes a random Life Creature.


Would make sense with the whole fallen elf storyline too.

Ya, a creature come back to life, who retains power over death... I like it, it's interesting.

Hmm, I suppose they don't all need permanents. I just wanted to make life and death more about poison and healing, essentiall opposites

What makes it cool, is it explains fallen elves.  They stopped making life creatures and were exiled.
