I rarely agree with iDaire, but he hit it spot on. Underpowered as CC, overpowered as a buff. I mean... if this card exists, why does BB exist? What motivation would I have for ever using BB, since this card does it better(Read: without the delay)? And obviously in-element Voodoo synergy is OP. It has some very good synergies, let's not deny that, but let's not forget: those are the exact same synergies that Basilisk Blood has. The game doesn't need more carbon copies.

I find Tattoo and Basilisk Blood two completely different cards. BB gives more hp, so it is a more suitable buff in cases where you do not attack your opponent directly with your creature (eg. Catapult + BB or Gravity Pull + BB).

...what? Tattoo gives 12|15 HP, BB gives 20|20 HP. They are virtually identical, except Tattoo gives no delay and can only be used on creatures with 4|5+ HP. They are incredibly similar cards, given that the effect is the exact same(gives large amounts of HP), with only the conditions differing.

Just remember that BB/lightning costs 2x less unupped and 5x less upped.

That is exactly the problem. It overshadows BB, but is overshadowed by Lightning. What is the point? It doesn't add any new mechanics, or anything new to the game. It just adds copies of other cards.

I'm not sure I agree, for two reasons.
1. Does it matter if it has a similar mechanic? isn't Thunderstorm a similar mechanic to Rain of Fire? Shockwave to Thunderbolt? Do all new cards have to have a new mechanic?
2. The fact it is versatile sort of gives it a nice additional mechanic. I like that Liquid Shadow can be used as a lobo or a vamp buff.

Personally I think it is close to being quite balanced. Though I do understand the criticisms, and it's hardly groundbreaking, it gives an additional method to grow creatures, an Additional hard CC, and several adaptations of decks.

Then it wouldn't be as effective since you don't have access to TU and other useful cards that you could've used as a rainbow.
