Reduce cost of ability to 1
You can poison a creature for 1, then your should remove it for 1.
And then either decrease the cost of the upped one or 1 | 5 to get some protection.
(Might've been done before, not sure)

This needs to be a decent attacker for anyone to play it. Compare with Toadfish: a 6|4 for 5 that can infect. This is defensive and much more situational. Low cost won't make it useful if its stats are low.
