Do you have a thematic reason why it should?

Paradox is something you can avoid with HP buffs or creature selection.  Where as Antimatter and Reverse Time can't be avoided without Quintessence.

The thematic objective was to remove anything beyond 2 dimensions.
The gaming objective was to move lobotomize/quintessence solely out of the domain of  :aether, albeit with a slightly weaker version of both tied up in the same card.  It has uses for your own creatures as well as the enemy's.

What is inflate's purpose in this? And why doesn't Gargoyle lose Stone Form?
I take inflate as becoming more three-dimensional, where as stone-form is just a skin change.
    vs.

I understand Flatten, but Planarize should go into :aether shouldn't it?  Also, I'm not sure why you can't use those spells on it, and why growth is affected.
planarize: # to flatten, or make into a plane (extreme gravity has that effect)
growth: # (biology) the act of growing, getting bigger  or higher

Gravity Pull requires mass and Reverse Time requires a 4th dimension.

If you think about it, any creature that gets totally flatten should just immediately die unless it has a VERY flexible organic structure.
True, and a two-dimensional plane is theoretical.  But this is a fantasy card game.

And before anyone asks: Antimatter was just for balance.  The enemy can still cause damage to the creature but can't completely nullify it by using Reverse Time or Antimatter.
True, but gravity is Omni-Directional.  Unless you have a LARGE, flat and heavy (mass wise) piece of land I doubt you can achieve it in such a manner.  Things like being round, doesn't take as much work.  Extreme Gravity as in Neutron Star?  Cause that's as far as you can go before you reach Black Hole state.  Also, a creature can grow within its own dimensional plane, an example is that Earth's life is growing in 3D doesn't it?  Also, Flattening something doesn't cancel out its mass, it just increases its density.  Therefore, whether it's high density or not, give it mass and it has a gravitational force.  I'll allow Reverse Time to slide cause I'm not too sure on the whole Time requiring a 4th Dimension.  However, wouldn't you have to define all the planes on which the creatures in the game live on.  Aether creatures could potentially exist on all planes and that could be infinity.  Also, since they're Aether, can't they just return to their omni-planar state?

Just a thought... but what about something like...

Target creature's ATK and HP is half, and ability cost is double, for (1 or 2 or 3) turns.  It returns to normal when turn is up.

(could even allow a trick where you flatten your own guy, buff it, and allow it to get double the effect of the buff when return to normal....maybe....)
