Ouch. This is pretty overpowerful. If you look at other immortal cards in the game:

Immortal costs 6 and does 4 damage.
Upgraded, it costs 7 and does 5 damage.
Phase Dragon costs 13 and does 8 damage.
Upgraded, it costs 14 and does 10 damage.

As you can see, across the board, the costs outweigh the damage. The unupgraded cost/damage ratio is an average of 1.5625 and the upgraded ratio is an average of 1.4.

Your creature has a cost/damage ratio of .875. This is not only insanely good for an immortal creature, but it is good for a regular creature that does this much damage, also. Very cheap and immortal, and it does 8 damage?!

Not to mention its ability, which allows it to grow even MORE powerful. All in all, it's quite a nasty card.

Plus, I like to think of Aether cards as the only ones that have Immaterial cards. It's one of the things that makes Aether special.

I know, but in its current state, it will render Immortal and maybe even Phase Dragon obsolete. Aether is special because it has immortal creatures; even Aether's description is quick to point this out. It's sort of like giving a card with Vampiric ability to Water. You're taking away a signature ability of what defines an element.

Anyways, to balance this card, you're going to have to bump up the costs severely and maybe make the ability cost a different element than Life. I still don't like the idea, but maybe you could make it less overpowered.

You don't need to create a new topic, just change the image and upload a new one in it's place on this topic. But I agree, this is rather overpowered. This creature should easily be 10 quanta or more, probably more if it's ability is like growth, where it just keeps increase the cards stats, or even if the ability is for targeting other creatures.

Yeah. When I first made the cost, Highlander was not Immortal.
Then I forgot to change it.

Does the effect '+1/+3' only affect the Highlanded? And it can only be used once right?

Then this is just a Werewolf on Steroids for Life. Too much like a vanilla/big hitter with a buff to me :(

Why not make it so that there can be one Highlander on either side of the field? When a new one gets summoned, the old one dies?

There can only be one.. *Whips out sword*
