I agree on that the effect shouldn't stack. And I also think that both Sudden Ferrets and Sudden Weasels should generate Sudden Ferrets.

Would that actually do anything?

As in, would making sudden weasels spawn sudden ferrets actually make a difference on the card?
All it would do it make the card cost 1 more to RT.
