Upgrade of Earthquake is called Quicksand. Might need another name.

I submit that quicksand is a terrible upgrade name for Earthquake.  I propose Temblor for the upgraded Earthquake instead.

How about calling this card "Subduction". Seems to fit pretty well... GO GEOLOGY! lol.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`

Ok, fine, Subduction.  I still like quicksand better, but, if I can't use that Subduction will work.

Seems like a powerful but risky shield, considering that it can 'lobotomize' and burrow enemy creatures but can also protect them from CC. How much does the given 'Burrow' skill cost?

Does this card remove passive abilities?

Burrow skill would cost  :earth.  Would not remove passive abilities.  (only those that would have to be removed by necessity of having only 1 activated ability)

Burrow skill would cost  :earth.  Would not remove passive abilities.  (only those that would have to be removed by necessity of having only 1 activated ability)
As an fyi, when a creature burrows, its skill typically changes to have a cost of 0. I.e. it only costs quanta to burrow a creature, not unburrow it.

Forcing an unburrow cost would definitely make for an interesting option here. I think it would be waranted as an exception since the end effect is that you would halve the attack power of the creature unless the opponent has :earth quanta on hand.

I'm not sure how hard or easy that would be to code in, but it makes for a fun concept.

P.S. I think quicksand fits better here than for upgraded earthquake myself. Not sure why that name was chosen for that card... Maybe Zanz would be willing to change it, though, so you could make a note in the card notes section. You never know :D .
At any rate, at least this way you have an alternative already picked out.

Oh, I didn't realize the unbury cost was zero.

That was a bit confusing then.  I guess if the cost can't be  :earth instead the card is probably DOA.

I don't  its DOA necessarily.

It makes a strong case for an exception and exceptions have been made before.

Just be sure to put something in the notes.

... or change the wording to:
"Shield: Attacking creature loses all abilities, is burried, and gains ' :earth : unburrow'.
Absorbs :water "

So, I'm considering submitting this one.  Considering removal of the absorb  :water now that the name has changed no longer seems as thematic.

That being said, what should the casting cost for this card be, without the water absorb?
