ART: eljoemo IDEA: eljoemo NOTES: It's like the other bolts, but for life. This card is either UP or OP, and I've tried to fix that but it's not exactly an easy thing to do. At low quanta, it's easily worse than blessing or SoW for a buff. But at high quanta, you can get up +15|+15 from one card. This is really a problem for me. Beside that, it just functions the same as the other bolts, except in increments of 5, not 10. All questions and constructive criticism welcome. SERIES:

Could yield some very beefy vampires
The otyugh and scarab combos are pretty potent too.
Don't know if that will be OP, but definitely very strong if used at high quanta.

The only issue might be with Deja + this + PU + blitz making a possible OTK.

(2 + 15)*2 *2 * 2 = 136

Thats not gonna take down half bloods or false gods, but its a 4 card combo... Thankfully, the quanta requirements makes it tricky to pull off.

Alternately, the 2 x (wyvern + this) + blitz is a 5 card combo but only requires a duo, which is much easier to pull off quanta-wise.

Each of these examples needs two turns though (for ability use) which makes them sub-optimal for OTK decks. Plus you'll need 75 in each case, which takes a while to generate, again, making them not so great for OTK decks.

As for the duo example, you'll still need some other fun stuff to make it happen. Wings and OE might do, but Phases, sundials and Hourglasses are better for OTK decks.

The deja combo fails as eljoemo described. The wyrm combo does work. Keep in mind that multiple lances can be used, although below a certain amount of quanta its worse than blessing/sow.
Since you want your buffs out fast, and your otks not excess quanta, i think its probably up, but im not sure

I'm unsure as to whether this is OP or UP. The tricky part is making is balanced at both low and high quanta amounts. I could tweak it to give +2|+2 for every 10 quanta, which makes it a teeny bit stronger, especially at low quanta. I don't know anymore :S

Life has can get extra quanta faster than some elements due to the Rustler. I once saw somebody post that if there were a life card that was based on the amount of life quanta Rustler would be used more often. Overall, I think this is a good card.

a card scaling with  quanta would be just as probable to make rustler used more often as a (good) card that consumes all quanta

Making OTKs requiring 75 quanta is extremely difficult and can only be gotten with dim shields against certain opponents. It's totally impractical to do it in PvP or even Platinum. If not, This deck would have been exploited, and it wasn't.
