It's not really a form of soft PC if your opponent doesn't pack PC himself...it's more of wasting the opponent's PC so that you can protect your permanents.

I suggest you add a way for the opponent to destroy the permanent or add poison each time the ability is used.

The idea of it is that you cast it on their shield or weapon (the pretty sword in the art), prompting them to replace it with an uncursed one.

So it can be used like an Arsenic or scorpion, while also working as PC when used on a shield/weapon, and also working as both PC and permanent protection if your opponent also has PC?

Quite a versatile and complex card for such a simple mechanic. I like it.

3 :death for increasing poison for any permanent besides pillars/pendulums? That...feels pretty powerful. Is this stackable?

That for 3 :death huh... I'm afraid this will end up being used as a practically immortal/unstoppable Arsenic/Scorp, rather than as PC. As it is, I see it a bit hard to balance (if there were more PC, this would be balanced), not to mention it would buff :fire and :darkness mostly ( :entropy and :earth / :gravity have less used PC), which are two elements that don't need a buff.

Hex | Curse only works in this way when you either own PC to destroy the last shield/weapon or they own a wide variety of shields or a wide variety of weapons. Otherwise, if they replace it with the same shield/weapon, you are still affected by the same permanent (although I admit that you get to delay their weapon's ability for one turn).

Basically, I don't see this card being used outside of its offensive, can-only-be-countered-by-purify-and-permanent-control purpose.

This can't be stacked by casting it multiple times on the same permanent. The effect applies a status effect on a permanent (kinda like momentum for creatures).

Still, Arsenic can only be played once, while this can be played multiple times (or at least one per permanent)... Maybe make it drain 1 hp every turn? I don't see it's imbalanced as it is now, but the problem would be that its poisonous nature would make it more useful for a poison rush than for a Death Stall that needs PC.

I like the idea of a curse and I think this is a pretty solid way to do it. I don't know about the "Deals 5 damage" part though. I just think it's unnecessary. Card designers always tend to try to make upped versions somehow unique, when sometimes a simple difference in cost is enough. Simple is better imo.

I would also change the name to Curse | Lingering Curse . It's more descriptive that way.

But yea.. I like it.
