I think this card has some theme problems.
It's called "Status" which clearly suggests a permanent, yet it is a spell? Sounds weird.
If you want creatures to turn into stone, you should consider making it a creature and calling it "Medusa" (from Greek mythology) or keep it as a spell and call it "Medusa's Gaze" or something.
The theme suggests that the creature you target turns into stone and therefore becomes a permanent. But if it turns into stone (or some other similar material) and even loses its ability, why can it still attack? Makes no sense.
I would probably try to fix this by making creatures real permanents (aka no attacking) but would give a buff for each statue you have. I would also change it so that you can use it to any creature. This way you could use it for attacking, but would give that small buff to your opponent if you did. Maybe that Statue could be a permanent that gives you one quanta of your mark?
That's all I got.
