Interesting buff to web. Requires a trio though, could be tough...

Does the game remember what creatures have been webbed?

No, but it is not hard to add.

The trio part is difficult

A spider's web is a  :aether/ :death +  :air duo.
This queen is a  :darkness/ :death + spider's web
Total:  :darkness :death :air (Flesh Spider) or  :aether :darkness :death :air (Phase Spider)

This is a forced combo with 2 potential cards. Since one is a trio and the other is a quad, this is effectively a forced combo with only 1 potential card.

simple solution: also add a dark spider/recluse. i see no reason why 3 elements can share in the spidery goodness.

If only it were that simple.  You can't really make cards that would work on other ideas.  They have to work with what we do have.

First off, I like the photo for the art.  Problem, though, is that's a photo.  But that's an art issue, not idea.

I think for a combination like that, the 6 :darkness cost is a bit much.  Maybe lower to 4~5?

It's supposed to look like you're about to be eaten.  I am terrible at art :/

My idea for he high cost was, despite the fact that it's a trio, you only need a set amount of :darkness and you can (with Eclipse) start cranking out 8 ATK creatures.  It deserves a pretty high cost.

Well, the unupped is only cranking out potentially 5 Att creatures.  And requires Web and creature to kill.

Speaking of which, is the Spider spawned on the side that the creature is killed on, or is it always your side?

Your side.

What if it had a :darkness ability cost, and the ability would generate either phase or flesh spiders? With a 50/50 chance. In this way, it can be used as a duo. Of course, the ability cost would be a bit higher I think.

Because thematically, it doesn't make sense for a Phase Recluse to be born from death?

Neither Flesh Spider nor Phase Spider is born from death. Merely the eggs laid in the webbed creature.

I guess that makes sense.  My reasoning is that the hatched eggs would feed on the flesh of the deceased.  Hence why Flesh Recluse would make more sense than Phase.

Both eat flesh. I see no problem limiting the generated spiders to one or the other. I also see no problem letting it generate either.

If it can generate both, then the synergy with Nightfall / Eclipse is limited.

It was limited anyway.

Good reason to limit the spiders generated.
