Life's way of getting huge or off-color creatures out sooner than normal, but with a significant vulnerability -- a turn with a permanent in play that can be destroyed or much worse, stolen. Great for FFQ decks that feature only Emerald Pillars, or just getting that Jade Dragon out a few turns early, but woe betide the elementalist who brings this out against a Rainbow deck or the likes of Chaos Lord.
Just be aware: because the creature selected is random, you'd better cast everything else first, or you'll end up wasting the Spawning Ground on something you could have cast normally.
