Bump. Still don't think it's really that useful to be honest.

If - as in your above example you state that:

Instead of running 13 Light Towers and 3 Buring Towers and waiting to get lucky drawing the Burning Tower, you can run 2 Burning Tower, 8 Light Tower and 6 Soul Tower and have a better chance of getting that Fire Quanta that you need.
Why wouldn't the player just use a Mark of Fire instead? The 6 Soul Towers - if I understand correctly... will have an 80% chance to give me :light and a 20% chance to give me :fire ?Would it not be a lot more a) cost effective and b) efficient to use Cremation/Nova/Brimstone Eaters? Even with 6 of these in play, they will only theoretically give me 1.2 :fire each turnWhereas, with 1 Fire Pillars in play, I will get a guaranteed 1 :fire each turn.

The thing is, you have to actually get that 1 fire tower, when running 6 would be redundant. So you run 6 of these and and most of the time you are getting the main element you need but you are still getting the fire quanta you need in its correct ratio.

Have you ever played magic? You have 5 colours to play with and if playing a multicoloured deck you need to have the correct ratio between the colours. To reduce redundancy you try and run as many Lands (these are the pillars of that game) that produce multiple colours so that you have a better chance of getting the combination you need. If you had 1 Red land in your deck of 60 cards and its all you need to play with you need to get lucky to draw it where running 4 Green/Red combination lands lets you play as green because thats the primary colour you need but use it as a red land when needed.

Maybe if you post a 2 or more element deck running on basic pillars, I can show you how it helps.

Alternate text option

"When you draw a card generate a quanta matching that cards Element"

- Still only generating 1 per turn unless you overdraw.
- No pillar array calculations with this version.
- Not capable of paying for activators.

Do you want a card like this controlled by pillars/towers or by the cards you play?

As it stands now, I don't think this card should cost anything to play, or maybe 1 quanta instead of 2?

I like the of gaining quanta based on what you just drew- care to flesh it out a little? What would happen if you drew multiple cards? or "other" element cards?

This is a great card for "advanced" deckbuilding. Adds some depth, and opens more strategies. Very nice.
Maybe I missed it, but are marks included into calculation when deciding which quanta to produce? I'm guessing not as you do only mention pillars/towers.

Btw, put some more thought into card explanation. If a player needs to actually put effort into understanding the card, I doubt it would get much votes. Ideally, text on the card should be enough to understand the mechanics of the card.

yeah, unfortunately I think that difficulty understanding the card is a common problem with the quantum mechanics cards.

I would really like to see some new ways of generating quanta, but most of the cards end up really complicated.

I think this is actually one of the simpler (and better) ideas.

New Alternate text, note probably with a reduced cost.

"Each turn produces 1 Random Quanta.
There is an even chance of each elemetal type that is present in your starting deck"

This also includes marks.

So in a shrieker deck, it will be a 50% :time/50% :earth

That does sound simpler to understand.

I still think that it should cost less to bring out though, maybe only 1 quanta?

Agreed, 1 quanta to play would be best.

Also, does this latest version go on card elements or quanta production and if the later, does a nova in your deck totally screw it up?

This latest version works on the elemental type of card in your deck. Mark of Fire is a Fire card, Steal is a darkness card, Saphire pillar is a water card, Forest spectre is a life card. So if the deck contains just these cards and Soul pilar, then the result is 1 quanta with an even chance of it being :fire, :darkness, :water, or :life

I like the idea but admittedly it's a little confusing. Yes it can be implemented in advanced deckbuilding but at 2 random quanta, you'd probably need 2 quantum towers in the deck along with other basic lands to justify the costs, so in terms of that it'd probably work well with shards. Would be nice to see this implemented though--frankly I prefer it to your harmonic tower.
