The target's passive/continuous ability is changed from whatever it does to "its targets" to protecting/quinting "its targets", although statuses (such as death clocks) are not removed. Examples: Nightfall/Eclipse: All Death/Darkness creatures become immaterial (including burrowed ones). Sundial: All creatures become immaterial (for 1 turn). Seems OP if used with Cloak- it only requires two elements which already have significant synergy and makes pretty much every card on your side of the field untargetable. Also, isn't immortality generally considered to be Aether's territory?

I agree.  I'd make the ability cost at least  considering the range of it.

From what I can tell, that's the case.

A problem I see is that this is limited and only suffices to work as a beatstick.
