Slug Carrier | Leech Carrier

NAME: Leech Carrier

TEXT: Enters field poisoned. Spawns 3 Pests when killed
ART:
Nobody... Could use some help here... ;)
IDEA:
M4ck
NOTES:
I'm aware  that some things will have to be changed - probably its play cost. Feel free to suggest, anyways
SERIES:
None right now - it's my first card

While playing against some lvl3s using a fun deck including 6 Devourers, some Life Drains and Fractals I came up with an idea of this thing. An obese thing, expensive, but pretty efficient. While it may seem too expensive to play, as expensive as a dragon, it can be a good source of Devourers and Pests if paired with something to kill it with - most probably Life Drains or Parasites. For one card(or two, if you LD it to death) you get three creatures. Or, if paired with Nightfall/Eclipse it would become a pretty decent hitter, which enemy will probably hesitate a bit to kill, due to what rests within.

About the artwork - Devourers and Pests always remind me of leeches due to their added passive, and leeches also seem to fit darkness nicely - even the color is good. Plus, their looks - slimy, hideously fat. Such creatures probably aren't healthy - like they could burst into a lot of gooey mess any moment after being poked. And this reveals three smaller versions of it, you may call them its larvae if you want.
Plus, this image looks completely like giant Worms from one of my favorite games - Final Fantasy X ;)

I think in it's current form this creature is underpowered. Maybe it'd be better if it entered the game poisoned?
It's current problem is:
- the insanely high cost (10 :darkness)
- ppl will just ignore this creature as it's damage is neglectable aswell. This way it won't die either...
- Fractalling devourers is much, much more efficient.

I like the idea though, it's original and the art is amazing. I'd say keep up the good work, but this guy needs some thinking, let's see what others think about it.

Photobucket is banned because some people have and will continue to put stolen art up on photobucket.

On to the card itself.
3 devourers are more valuable than 1 3|5 creature. Hence the enemy will never pop the carrier.
Since the enemy will never kill the carrier you would have to supply the death (cremation possibly).
As such the carrier should be priced with the means of destruction in mind.
I personally would value the cheapest destruction (cremation) as +1 card in effective cost.
3 devourers in one card are worth 6 :darkness + 3 cards.
So the carrier is worth 6 :darkness +2 cards.
This is about the equivalent of 8 :darkness + 1card.

But what if the carrier is not used as such?
It would have a modest protection from destructive CC (excluding replacement CC like Skull Shield or Alfatoxin) this is probably worth 1 :darkness.
So the actual Slug should be worth 7 :darkness + 1 card.
7|1-5, 6|6-7, 5|8-9 and 4|10+ are all stats that would be worth 7 :darkness +1card

In summary change:
Casting Cost to: 8 :darkness|7 :darkness
Attack to: 7|7
HP to: 5|5

So... What would you say about something like that?

NAME:
Slug Carrier
ELEMENT:
Darkness
COST:
7 :darkness
TYPE:
Creature
ATK|HP:
6|5
TEXT:
Enters field poisoned. Spawns 3 Devourers when killed
NAME:
Leech Carrier
ELEMENT:
Darkness
COST:
7 :darkness
TYPE:
Creature
ATK|HP:
7|5
TEXT:
Enters field poisoned. Spawns 3 Pests when killed
Plus, I got to the real author of this artwork and am currently waiting if i'll get the permission... But I'm afraid i won't. Maybe I'll try to create something similar in a few days?

This new version would work better. Might be balanced.

I wonder how many people would use this instead of pestal. While this is more powerful, pestal is much faster and usually has a very good win rate.
It is the greatest mystery of all...

Man, mid-attack darkness creature that only benefits more from being Eclipsed, not to mention when it dies, it immediately spawns insane amounts of quanta-control creatures! 8|7 sounds right, but right now seems to work!

With this you can have up to 24 Devourers in your deck, using only 12 cards! That's just a mono-deck, too!
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

While I commend the fact that you're asking the artist for permission, it's still technically illegal to use it while the permission is pending. I'd suggest just leaving the card image out for the time being.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Removed artwork, but now it looks a lot worse. That beast was kinda impressive, and I wasn't able to find a similar one anywhere...
