ART: IDEA: skyironsword NOTES: Interrupting my Arena Expansion series to give you a spell I've been considering. Here you go. Balanced against Rain of Fire (3 damage might actually be a little worse than freeze...) SERIES:

Nothing exactly creative, but looks alright.

Did you not add 'remove invisibility' for a reason or did you forget it?

Except Squids can also Freeze stuff that come out after you play it.

Well, this was actually balanced against Rain of Fire... at least the unupped was...

I figured 3 damage was probably slightly weaker than freeze.

I think the cost is just right.  Obviously, there's a cost-benefit analysis: how many creatures your opponent has out versus what it would cost to freeze them all individually, factoring in the advantage that this is just one card versus having to stick half a dozen freezes in your deck (not to mention you could have these, as well as freeze cards, squids, etc., and really weigh your deck toward keeping things on ice.)  I know that if I were getting eaten alive by a hoard of scarabs or someone's rush deck, I'd love a card like this to buy me some time, and it's pretty balanced alongside the other mass CC cards.

Upped, if it didn't do one damage, it would cost 6, because of the -2 similar to rain of fire...

One damage doesn't seem worth 3 ...

0, I like this card. Easy and good, but every time I see it I've just can't feel the power in it. So:
1, The upped shouldn't Congeal? It's should.
3, First I didn't thought that there is no art (it's just fitted there).
4, DO something, when flooded. First, it's fun, second it's make the card less blank and the useless 1 dmg can be scratched out (in upped almost everything lives in 3 or more and I feel the Desicc 1.2 version).

The upped doesn't congeal because that would be 33% stronger.

So no. It should not. Unless you want the upped to cost all your vital organs.

33% more, but I don't think that's makes it OP. Compared to the Arctic squid, it's makes it more balanced. Below 4 creature, squid is better by the Congeal, against 4, it's nearly the same (in my opinion, squid still wins, but they both do 12 turns, so objectively equal).
