Multiple Hourglasses give you a lot of deck manipulation.

Mindgate gives you 2 ends of the deck to openly manipulate.

The key is multiple activations.

For example, you come across a good midrange attacker with mindgate but you don't have the quanta to use them yet.

Then, you flip the deck so that that creature is sent to the bottom and you can continue picking up cards.

When you run into a pillar, you can uses the RT strategy to gain a large amount of them. Then you can double flip the deck every turn to pick up a large amount of spammable creatures.
