Shard of Gratitude will not synergize with this at all, because it's your MAXIMUM HP that gets reduced. Shard of Gratitude only heals your current HP, so its healing will not help you. Only Shard of Divinity and Stone Skin will give you back the sacrificed max HP.

I think I'll give its Momentum back.

Oh, and to prevent this from making mastery easier: now this decreases current HP as well as max HP. It works exactly like Shard of Divinity where it adds 20 to both max and current HP.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

I definitely think it needs momentum if its going to decrease max HP if I'm going to sacrifice HP I want to be sure the creature stays alive.

I'm a little confused by what you mean with decreasing max and current HP is it going to take 5 max HP and 5 HP or just the 5 Max HP (after one turn will you have 95 max HP and 90 HP or 95 Max HP and 95 HP)?

Say, if your HP is 97/100. The next turn, your HP will be 92/95. Shard of Divinity works the same way: if you're 97/100, after using the Shard your HP will be 117/120.

Anyone has a bigger picture of the upgraded Shard? I want to make an image for this.

you could always try editing some of the pictures of the other shards

Ooh, very nice. And yes, it looks menacing :P

Regarding the actual card:

I like the idea. Momentum + Immortal stuff rocks :D

OK, so this is a new Shard. There is a blue shard (Divinity) and a green shard (Gratitude) in the game, so I've had the urge to make a red shard for a long time now.

This Shard will be a creature. I wanted it to be a creature, because Shard of Divinity is a spell and Shard of Gratitude is a permanent. And red is an agressive color, so I wanted the red shard to be something that attacks. Also, right now both Shards have abilities involving HP, so I wanted the ability of the new Shard to also have something to do with HP.

Like the other two Shards, the Shard of Sacrifice will simply be a useless Shard with a red hue when unupgraded. Below is the upgraded version:

Shard of Sacrifice: 0/1 (3 Quanta)
Sacrifice (3 Quanta): Decrease your maximum HP and current HP by 5. Shard of Sacrifice gains +3/+0.
Immortal
Momentum

NOTE: This card decreases your MAXIMUM HP. That means if you use Sacrifice once, your max HP will become 95 and your current HP cannot get higher than 95.

Be careful when using it: if you pump too much power into it, you'll kill yourself. For example, if you have 6 Shards of Sacrifice on the field, and you use Sacrifice 6 times per turn, you'll lose 30 max HP per turn and die in no time.

What do you think?
Hm.

I like the card idea and your reasoning behind the design (red/creature/has to do with HP), but I don't like the card itself.  I don't like it partly because it feels a little too complex compared to the others.  The other shards were very clean.

This would be mine:

edit: I know you wanted creature related abilities in yours and... there isn't really a reason for mine to be a creature except that it's more vulnerable.  Guess it's not perfect either.

Lol, you would trade 3 damage per turn for 5 of your own hp? Since it only has 1 hp you could kill it very, very easily.

Read, please. It has Momentum and Immaterial; it cannot be targeted or hurt by shields. :) With enough SoG's, SoD's, and defense, this makes for a very nice deck.

I think you missed the immortal momentumed part of it, the shard cannot be killed in any way right now.

Damn.... too late xD
