Switching the ability cost of any creature also makes it more powerful than PU. For example, copying a fallen elf with PU would require you to have  :life to use it. Lava golem   :earth . squid   :water  among tons of others. But with this card, all you need is  :darkness which is already required to play the card in the first place.

This is a pretty cool concept. I like it.

The fact that the creature always has an ability that costs Darkness to use sounds a bit like the previous card by Bloodshadow but I guess it's generic enough not to be considered plagiarism.

I probably would have made this a spell but yeah it could be a permanent too.

I think my idea came first. The idea has been in my catalog for months, I just brought it out.

No more accusing of theft eh.

I have no objection to shadows as an idea. I even have a Shadow generator in my own ideas catalog from long before you have posted here but mine is still in testing and works in a way that is justified in the balance and the mechanics of the game. I test my ideas before just throwing them into the world to see
This is my card from my catalog that is in testing and has been weighed against the environment with consideration to other cards, balance and how it would be recieved.

Name: Shadow Box
Element: Darkness
Cost: ? ? ? (still a secret for now)
Type: Permanent
Ability: Active -  :light :light : Target a non-Darkness, non-Light creature to create a Shadow.

* A shadow is a created token creature with a 2 turn doomclock. It is a Darkness creature and has an ability. (The stats of the Shadow and the Ability I have given it are a secret for now too)

Does no one else see this card as hideously overpowered?  For 3 Light quana per turn, you get to pick the 3 biggest creatures in play and duplicate them, over and over.  It's Parallel Universe on crack on a stick, and it comes from one of the only two elements that would be able to deal with it (by Stealing it) -- so only Fire can counter this beast.

What?
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Well Fire has Deflag, Earth has Pulverizer/Quicksand, Entropy has Butterfly Effect, Aether has Immortal Creatures, Life has Rush.
It has plenty of counters and is a later game card. It probably would require tweaking because it is at the peak of card power but the idea is sound and in testing against the AI, it was unable to break the world.
