oddly enough, it all started with one card (quanta worm) and then i decided to make an entire series of it for different conditions.  i cant make the cost much lower, that's part of the problem of Other cards, one card (nova) lets you cast a 12 cost card very easily.  Even with numbers this high, a rainbow deck could fairly easily power it out with a supernova or two.  thankfully, rainbow decks generally won't get much use out of this card (hardcast or autocast) but yeah.

1 mark pillar < 1 pillar = 1 0 cost card
2 mark pillars < 2 pillars = 2 0 cost cards
Nova + 1 12 cost card ~= 2 0 cost cards

Conclusion: If it did not have the autocast feature, it would cost less than 12 .

i dont think it costs too much, because it is way to good in ghostmare/monodark decks. in ghostmare, after nightmare opponents frecuently cant play cards. in mono dark devourers pwn your opponents quanta. on the other hand, its just a double pillar, so i think you could bring the cost down to 30/20 or something.
