Base (Upgraded):

Blaze (Inferno)

6 Fire Quanta (6 Fire Quanta)

Shield - 2 damage dealt to all enemy creatures. Extinguishes after 3 turns if no enemy creatures.
(Shield - 3 damage dealt to all enemy creatures. Extinguishes after 3 turns if no enemy creatures.)

-----------------

It could potentially last the whole game if going against immortal creatures. It will continuously burn at them even though they don't take damage or it could be coded to ignore them since I believe they are listed as Immaterial.

Could be a bit too strong, especially the upgrade. "Spams Firestorms at the enemies until they're all dead".

This is very overpowered. The Fire Shield was powerful to start with, now you're pegging on tons of additional damage to each creature? This is 6 fire quanta to continuously Fire Storm all the enemy creatures. You do realize that Fire Shield costs 6 fire quanta itself, and it does 1 damage to every enemy creature. That's balanced, even if it's very powerful. Your shields do way too much damage.

Pair this with enchant artifact and your non-aether opponent can say gg and quit the game...

Maybe 3:30, though I posted it this morning without re-reading it.

Maybe change it to a creature type that does 1 damage each turn and just costs less as an upgraded, but with the same design - if no enemy creatures, it dies out.

So, something like this:

Loose Fireball: Costs 6 Fire Quanta.
2/4
Passive: Fireball. 1 damage is dealt to each opponent creature every turn as long as Loose Fireball is in play.
Passive: Extinguished. If, after 3 turns, the opponent still has no creatures on his side of the field, Loose Fireball is destroyed.
Upgrades into:
Angry Fireball: Costs 6 Fire Quanta.
3/6
Passive: Fireball. 1 damage is dealt to each opponent creature every turn as long as Loose Fireball is in play.
Passive: Extinguished. If, after 3 turns, the opponent still has no creatures on his side of the field, Loose Fireball loses 6 health.

The latter loses 6 health instead of being destroyed, thus allowing health increases to continue its survival.
Still, no player would sanely play this card if there were no monsters on the field.

OP. Get 3 of those and you cancel every creature on  the opponent's field in 3-4 turns.

Yeah, I didn't like this idea anyways. But think about it: Viruses can do much the same thing.

How about their ability affects every creature on the field? Themselves included.

But viruses die once used...
