i would prefer to see another card that benefited from death effects than just another source of death effects

Previous concerns were the overlapping with Cat, so any thoughts as to change it from that?

Yes, because there'd be two instances.  The first would be if it was removed when it was killed [One Death Effect].  When it is killed, it will also trigger the effect [One Death Effect].  So, if you follow that, two death effects.
