TEXT:
Every time a permanent is destroyed, one of your creatures randomly gains +1|+0.
NAME:
Dragon Furnace

COST:
3 :fire
TYPE:

TEXT:
Every time a permanent is destroyed, one of your creatures randomly gains
+2|+0.
ART:

IDEA:
Original Idea by Brahma
NOTES:
Sundial, Phase Shield and Wings don't trigger Scrap Furnace when they are discarded due to time effects.  Stacks (bone wall, pillars, etc.) trigger this card for every permanent in the stack destroyed.
SERIES:
Profit from both you and your opponent's permanent control! Play it alongside earthquake, deflagration and butterfly effect to buff your creatures up. Scrap Furnace's effects DO stack if you put multiple on the field. In other words, if you have two scrap furnaces, two random creatures gain +1|+0 or, in the possibility of the same creature being chosen twice, one creature gains +2|+0. :)

I like it. Very  :fire-ey. Good with many Deflags. Or, lava golem scrap EQ super buff...

Thanks Ninja, and yes that's exactly what I was thinking too. I came up with this idea after I was tired of earthquakes and deflag messing with me. Not only this card it good for a Fire/Earth deck, but it's good against Fire and Earth decks :D

This would go nicely with lave golem or fire spirit.

The mechanic is nice, but this card overall seems weak since there isn't really mass PC.  3 :fire + 1 card for +1|+0 isn't much, unless there's a Trident.  It also needs to get out early + have a creature out to be effective which can be problematic against EQ, and is also vulnerable to any deck with lots of PC because it's a permanent itself.

I would recommend this being a creature with 0 ATK and/or the cost being reduced to 1 :fire for both unupped and upped.

Thanks, Manipul8r.

I think you're right... without earthquake or trident this is just too weak. I think dropping the cost would help, especially in the early game. Maybe the buff that you said... or maybe 1 :fire for unupped and 2 :fire for an upped that buffs 3 random creatures. Hmmm can't really decide.

This + ash = Buffing creature with self-destruct(turn into phoenix).
Very good in a mono- :fire rush. I think it's balanced, personally.

Hmm taking both opinions into account... What about a 3 :fire that buffs 2 creatures --> 2 :fire that buffs 3 creatures?

Turning into a phoenix or turning into an ash is irrelevant, this is only when a permanent is destroyed.

Buffing multiple creatures doesn't seem any more useful than the bonus being +2|+0, and I think it's easier to understand if it's a 1 target effect with a higher reward.

Hmm well i liked the idea of spreading the damage around but it isnt important i guess. Elements cards are usually kept simple, unlike other games like MTG.

So i think ive made up my mind. Itll be a 2 :fire that buffs random creature +2/+0 --> same cost, buff random creature +3/+0.

Ill change it tomorrow.

Does this trigger when bone wall stacks are destroyed? If it does it'd be a good card to combo with Vulture and Schrodingers Cat
