Yes.
But they can only kill it if they can target it, and there are many ways to avoid targeting..

Not sure about the element. Also don't really understand the card. What's the point of putting half your health into a gravity pulled creature? That health will still be lost whether your opponent attacks you or the scarecrow. That also brings up the problem of the scarecrow being insta-killed.

The point is to protect your creatures and permanents for half of the game.

quintessence doesn't cancel statuses such as gravity pull, poison, momentum, and adrenaline

Quinted gravity pulled creatures still take damage.

But I do see what you're saying patchx94. It's meant to be a protection for all your creatures and permanents.
