Actually, I like the current ability exactly because it's not so powerful.
Always seeing the top card of your opponent's deck means you pretty much know his entire hand all the time.
The current ability isn't very powerful, but the right choice to make often depends on what cards you will draw next: If I play this shield, will I still be able to afford my dragon in 2 turns? Yes, because I have a tower coming up. Do I need this shield yet? No, I have 2 SoGs coming.
So no, I like the power.
I guess I could make it 2 cards (unupped) and 3 cards (upped), or lower the playing cost?
Also, I like the suggested neutrality of the character, and the ability isn't too focused on a single deck.
