Ah pretty neat lil thing. You can either use it to sacrifice your own creature for a gain of 3|4 :death or use it as a lobotomizer to your opponent's creatures. Having a bit of CC for your own creatures is also nice. The upgrade is debatable because your opponent could sacrifice their creature for more :death, but I suppose it does throw a wrench in their plans if you lobotomize their creature and they cna't make use of the :death.

That's an intersting card but I think this should be slightly buffed. for example add : "draw a card" in the text but maybe this would make it OP or the card will not fit death anymore..

It can be used as a single use Lobotomy for 1 :death+1card.
However do Sacrifice and Soul Catcher overlap too much?
Or would Death benefit from having both?

i also thought of that, using this with upped soul catchers might be to strong.

This + a sacrificied creature + soul catcher = 3 cards just to have 8 death quanta.. and you also need to pay the creature (okay spark or photon can be fine but they are also kinda useless in a death deck)

it doesn't seems OP.

That was not the question. Obviously Sacrifice will be improved to be balanced as a mono  :death Lobo/Immolation. The question was whether it would be a sufficiently valuable addition to death considering death already has Soul Catcher.

A great one quanta death card, which boosts all aspects of Death. (But we still need that PC)

Now with Soul Catcher, by including both cards makes death pile quanta about as fast a Fire rush can. (creature + SC -> 6/7 :death)
Unfortunately, Virus and Soul catcher is much better at carrying that combo. There aren't many good targets for you to give yourself quanta.
Possibly adding one more quanta gain would make it square with Immolation.

I still like this card because it adds another lagging CC.

Just an idea, what about making the upgraded card one of anything? Then you can put it in as easily as Deflag.

This might actually be a good solution to nerf cremation in this manner, if we need to do that again; that would prevent the reusable phoenix immolations (it would get loboed) and slow it down a turn.

Talking about this card directly, I think it's actually pretty reasonable.  If you wanted to get really interesting, maybe the upped version could produce  :death :death :death :death :darkness or  :death :death :death :darkness :darkness or  :death :death :death :darkness :fire instead.

This looks ready. Bump for a bit of feedback first?

Weird idea, but what if it generates 3|4 quanta of your mark. That certainly makes it unique from cremation... though it will make it somewhat more risky to use as a lobotomizer effect
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`
You might be a unix junky

So, it's basically a :death Cremation with less rainbow-friendliness and the ability to lobotomize opponents?
This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.
Orianna made a sound that supposed to a girl's squeal of glee and hugged The Ball. While it might have been touching, it was unfortunately only horrifying.
