What about a series of related cards? ex.
Airborne creatures avoid the damage.
Ground creatures takes 2 damage.
Burrowed creatures takes 4 damage.
windstorm: deal 2 damage to ground creatures, 4 to airborne, none to burrowed.
Landslide: Burrowed and airborne creatures take no damage, ground take 4.
Trench: All burrowed creatures become unburrowed.
Evolution: All creatures randomly gain airborne or burrowed passive skills.
