I guess to summarize: At the initial cost of 8 , and with a casting cost of 2 per turn, you are essentially giving a creature a +3|+3 growth. I like how the set-up required is extensive, so I think this will be a useful card.

Should I raise +5|-2 to +6|-2 ?

I think that unupped is little up, but upped balanced Up or Op

you can have 11|5 creature for 7 in 3 turns

if it gets to 11/5 in 3 turns it will equal lava destroyer that should be the upped's ability
