My entry for the Shield idea competition.  Couldn't get the icons to work, but all quantum costs are light.  Released damage CAN be reflected, like Unstable Gas works.

Nice idea I really like the way that it can be burnt back at the other player.

Is the damage only on the player or can it be used to target a creature and if so would it only use the damage equal to their Hp (ie of 20 possible points it would only use 3 to kill the creature leaving you with 17 for the next one)

Only to the player.  This shield does not damage creatures.

Is this reflected by Mirror Shield? Zanz said all spell damages will be reflected (e.g. Unstable Gas).
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

The damage is reflectable, and I was considering having the shield be destroyed when attacking, but the high cost of the shield works against that, plus the time needed to build up enough retribution damage.  So no, the shield stays when used.

To make it more simple, Have it "Gain one charge for each damage taken" and 2 light to "Deal damage to the opponent equal to the charges". But this is a really good idea, similar to yoyo's suggestions... but different. I'd love to see this in-game.

it would  be a very nice card. it can be combo'd with aflatoxin. cancer your opponent's creature and lay on the shield. NO damage done to you from the cells AND you can dish the damage that would have been done to you to your opponent. i would definitely use it
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "its better than yours" damn right, its better than yours! i can teach you but i'd have to charge!
