Card: Resurrection
Cost: 5 light quanta + quanta cost of the selected creature (eg. black dragon, 5 light + 10 death)
Description: Brings a creature back to life (from either deck)

Upgraded: 2 light + quanta cost of selected creature (Rebirth)

How do you resurrect something you don't see, we don't exactly have a "graveyard" feature where dead monsters go.

Implementing one would be fairly simple, I'm sure. Also, in the first post, he said "light" as the cost once, and "life" as the cost twice. Whoopsie.

It could be added to the code fairly simply, I think, if it was a pre-emptive resurrection rather than after the fact. In effect, a status placed on the creature that, when it dies for whatever reason (with the possible exceptions of being mutated or aflatoxined) it is immediately replaced by a fresh copy of the same card as if it had been returned by Reverse Time and played anew.

The devs have confirmed that this would not be simple.

That said, a pre-emptive status might work if it were balanced correctly. Whether this is the same functionality as you were proposing, I don't know.

The pre-emptive status is alright. Sort of like Autolife from many games.

The afterfact is impossible to do currently and why bother, anyway?

I also doubt you could put "+quantacost of creature" as a cost.

Did they say whether the graveyard pile would include other destroyed cards as well? Because if it didn't, then I would see how that would make things a tad more difficult. But anyway, do you have a link/quote I can read? I wanna see what they said. :-)

This is almost the same as my recycle suggestion (mine allowed you to reuse any card though). And apparently it's not gonna happen, so this won't either.

There is no graveyard pile at all. That's what makes this difficult.

But anyway, do you have a link/quote I can read? I wanna see what they said. :-)
I can't find a link right now; it may have been answered in chat.

No, I meant if it HAD been implemented, would that other stuff been included?

Hmm. Okay then.Exactly who were you speaking with, though? I'll just PM them then (if they're not too busy of course ;) )

yeah thx for pointing out the typo. it's light not life :P. Anyways i got this idea from a game I played way back called yugioh or something. It seems like a cool feature that can be added to the game. Adding a graveyard could also open up more possibilities for future cards as well.
Eg: Grim Reaper
attack N (N is for the amount of creatures in your graveyard)

Eg 2: Spell recycle: retrieve a used spell card back to the top of your deck

these are just a few examples of what could happen if a graveyard feature would be added. (although graveyard is already a card, so it could be called cemetery or something)
